Radix - Frequently Asked Questions

  • To create a new company, go to Company > New Company
  • "Select the company group" from will open. Here, select the group in which you want to create the company and click on OK button or press ENTER. In case, if you have only 1 group, then company information entry form will open directly.
  • Enter all the details here such as Company Code, Name, GST Number etc. you may enter the fields you want to and leave rest of the fields blank and proceed.
  • After entering all the details, click on SAVE button. Your company will be created.
  • To open the Company, go to Company > open Company.
  • Company list will be displayed. Select the company you want to open and press OK button. You will enter into the company.

  • To modify an existing company, go to Company > Modify Company.
  • "Select the Company Group" form will open. Here, select the group in which you want to modify the company and click on OK button or press ENTER.In case, if you have only 1 company group, then Company Information entry form will open directly.
  • You can modify the details here and then click on save button. Your Company details will be modified.

  • To delete a company, go to Company > Delete Company.
  • "Select the Company Group" form will open. Here, select the group from which you want to delete the company and click on OK button or press ENTER.In case, if you have only 1 company group, then Company Information entry form will open directly.
  • In Company Information form, click on DELETE button and then click on YES button. Your Company will get deleted if there are no transactions in it.
  • If there are any transactions in your company, then you need to delete all the transactions first.

  • To create an Account, go to Masters > Accounts > Accounts.
  • Accounts entry form will open.
  • Enter details such as Name, Code, GL Group, Broker, Address, Mobile Number etc.You can enter the fields you want and leave rest of the fields blank and proceed.
  • Go to "4 GST" tab and enter other details such as GSTIN, GSTIN Date, State, Type of Assessee, Distance (km)etc.You can enter the fields you want and leave rest of the fields blank and proceed.
  • Once all the details have been entered, click on SAVE button. Your account will be created.
  • To create another account, click on NEW button and start again with step 3.

  • To modify an Account, go to Masters > Accounts > Accounts.
  • Accounts entry form will open.
  • In Name, press F4 button, list of accounts will be displayed.
  • Select the account you want to modify and click on OPEN button or press ENTER. Selected account will open.
  • You can modify the details you want and then click on SAVE button. Your account will be modified.

  • To delete an Account, go to Masters > Accounts > Accounts.
  • Accounts entry form will open.
  • In Name, press F4 button and select the name of the account you want to delete and click on OPEN button or press ENTER.
  • Selected account will open. Now, click on DELETE button and then click on YES button.
  • If there are no transactions related to this account in any day-book, then on clicking YES button, your account will get deleted.
  • Otherwise, you need to delete all the transactions of this account first and then delete the account.

  • To create an Item, go to Masters > Items > Item Entry.
  • Item entry form will open.
  • Enter details such as Name, Code, Type, Group, Sub Group, UOM #1, Primary UOM, Rate Per, etc.You can enter the fields you want and leave rest of the fields blank and proceed.
  • Go to 2 Purchase/Sales Info and enter details such as Sales Price etc.
  • Go to "4 GST" Details tab and enter other details such as HSN Code, Service Code (SAC), Notifications etc.You can enter the fields you want and leave rest of the fields blank and proceed.
  • Once all the details have been entered, click on SAVE button. Your item will be created.
  • To create another item, click on NEW button and start again with step 3.

  • To modify an Item, go to Masters > Items > Item Entry.
  • Item entry form will open.
  • In Name, press F4 button, list of items will be displayed.
  • Select the item you want to modify and click on OPEN button or press ENTER.
  • Here, you can modify all the details you want and then click on SAVE button. Your item will be modified.

  • To delete an Item, go to Masters > Items > Item Entry.
  • Item entry form will open.
  • In Name, press F4 button, list of items will be displayed.
  • Select the item you want to delete and click on OPEN button or press ENTER.
  • Once you select the item, click on Delete button and then click on YES button. Your item will get deleted.
  • If this item is not included in any transaction, then on clicking YES button, your item will get deleted.
  • Otherwise, you need to delete all the transactions in which this item is included and then delete the item.

  • To create Transport, go to Masters > Others > Transports.
  • Transport entry form will open.
  • Enter details such as Description, Code, Notes, Transport ID, Transport GSTIN, Transport E-mail, Transport Mode etc. You can enter the fields you want and leave rest of the fields blank and proceed.
  • Once all the details have been entered, click on SAVE button. Your transport will be created.
  • To create another transport, click on NEW button and start again with step 3.

  • To modify Transport, go to Masters > Others > Transports.
  • Transport entry form will open.
  • In Description, press F4 button, list of transports will be displayed.
  • Select the transport you want to modify and click on OPEN button or press ENTER.
  • Here, you can modify all the details you want and then click on SAVE button. Your transport will be modified.

  • To delete Transport, go to Masters > Others > Transports.
  • Transport entry form will open.
  • In Description, press F4 button, list of transports will be displayed.
  • Select the transport you want to delete and click on OPEN button or press ENTER.
  • Once you select the transport, click on DELETE button and then click on YES button. Your transport will get deleted.
  • If this transport is not included in any transaction, then on clicking YES button, your transport will get deleted.
  • Otherwise, you need to delete all the transactions in which this transport is included and then delete the transport.

  • To create a Day-book, go to Masters > Day-books.
  • Day-books entry form will open.
  • Enter details such as Name, Type, Notes, Auto Call Outstanding Adjustment.You can enter the fields you want and leave rest of the fields blank and proceed.
  • Go to "2 Inventory" tab and set other details here such as Get Transport Details, Get Line Item Details etc.
  • Go to "5 GST Details" tab and enter other details such as Is GST Applicable, Invoice Type, Invoice Sub Type, Type of Supply, Attracts Reverse Charge?, Allow Changing Invoice Type, AV Calculation Method, Allow Changing AV Method etc.You can enter the fields you want and leave rest of the fields blank and proceed.
  • Once all the details have been entered, click on SAVE button. Your day-book will be created.
  • To create another day-book, click on NEW button and start again with step 3.

  • To modify Day-book, go to Masters > Day-books.
  • Day-book entry form will open.
  • In Name, press F4 button, list of day-books will be displayed.
  • Select the day-book you want to modify and click on OPEN button or press ENTER.
  • Here, you can modify all the details you want and then click on SAVE button. Your item will be modified.

  • To delete Day-book, go to Masters > Day-books.
  • Day-book entry form will open.
  • In Name, press F4 button, list of day-books will be displayed.
  • Select the day-book you want to delete and click on OPEN button or press ENTER.
  • Once you select the day-book, click on DELETE button and then click on YES button. Your day-book will get deleted.
  • If no transactions are entered in this day-book, then on clicking YES button, your day-book will get deleted.
  • Otherwise, you need to delete all the transactions from this day-book and then delete this day-book.

  • To Transfer Balances, go to Company > Transfer Balances.
  • Transfer Balance form will open.
  • Enter details here such as From Company, To Company etc.
  • Check all the required options and click on TRANSFER button. Your Balance Transfer will be done successfully.
  • Radix will restart.

  • To do year-end process, go to Utilities > Company > Year End Process.
  • Year-End Processing form will open.
  • Details will be already entered here, however if you wish you can change them and press OK button.
  • In "Do you want to continue?", select YES option and press ENTER.
  • Once year-end process is done, click on OK button.

  • For Accounts Opening entry, go to Masters > Accounts > Opening Balance.
  • Accounts Opening Balance entry form will open.
  • Enter details here such as Account Type, Show, Document Typeetc.
  • Accounts list will be displayed in the Account List section. Select the account here, for which you want to do Accounts bill by bill opening entry.
  • Enter the opening balance amount in Amount field in Consolidated Amount section and press ENTER. You will see the opening balance amount in Amount field in Accounts List section.
  • Click on CLOSE button. Your Accounts Opening Balance entry is done.

  • For Item Opening Stock entry, go to Masters > Items > Item Opening Stock.
  • Item opening stock entry form will open.
  • Enter details here such as Item Type, Show All Items, Document Typeetc.
  • Select the item for which you want to do Item opening stock entry and enter the value of item opening stock in Quantity field (Pcs/Cut/Mts)
  • After entering the opening stock value, press ENTER, and click on CLOSE button. Your item opening stock entry will be auto-saved.

  • For Mill/Other Opening entry, go to Masters > Items > Item Opening Stock.
  • Item opening stock entry form will open.
  • Enter details here such as Item Type, Show All Items, Document Typeetc.
  • Click on NEW button and select the daybook in which you want to do opening entry.
  • Selected daybook will open. Enter all the necessary fields such as Account, Item, Rate etc. and click on SAVE button.
  • Entry will be displayed in the Documents List Section. Click on CLOSE button. Your Mill/Other opening entry will be auto-saved

  • For Invoice Printing, go to Utilities > Settings > Setup Report.
  • Online Setup Report entry form will open.
  • Select the daybook in which you want to enable Invoice Printing and click on NEW button.
  • Enter details here such as Daybook, Type, Report Code, View Nameetc.
  • Click on SAVE button and then click on OK button.
  • Go to the daybook for which you have created Invoice Printing and press CTRL+P to print. Your Invoice will be printed.

  • For Sales Invoice transaction with Fold/Less, go to Utilities > Settings > Field Setup.
  • Enable Gross Meters and Fold % fields in the desired Sales daybook.
  • Click on SAVE button. 
  • Once done, Go to Transaction > Sales > Invoices.
  • Select the Sales daybook and fill in all the details one by one.
  • Gross Meters and Fold % field will be displayed. Enter the values here.
  • On Saving the invoice, software will prompt for printing. Here, select the GST Invoice (with Fold Mts) view for printing.
  • Click on SHOW button. Invoice will be displayed with Gross Meters and Fold %.

  • For Bill Terms Settings in Radix, go to Masters > Bill Terms.
  • List of daybooks will be displayed. Select the desired daybook and click on OK button.
  • Bill Terms form will open. Enter details here such as Code, Description, Formula, etc.
  • Click on SAVE button.
  • Now, go to Transactions > Sales > Invoices.
  • List of daybooks will be displayed. Select the desired daybook and click on OK button.
  • Daybooks entry form will open. Enter all the details such as Date, Account, Item, Quantity, Rate, Discount, AMTX, etc. Net Amount will get calculated as per the settings done in the bill term.
  • Once done, click on SAVE button.

  • First, create a new daybook. Go to Masters > Daybooks.
  • Daybooks entry form will open. Enter details here such as Name, Code, Type, GST Sub Type, Account, Status, etc.
  • Go to 2 Inventory Tab and select other details such as Allow Edit Line Item Amount, Allow Zero Quantity.
  • Go to 5 GST Details Tab and select other details such as Is GST Applicable.
  • Click on SAVE button. Debit Note TCS daybook will be created.
  • Next,    go to Transactions > Sales > Outward Debit Note (GST).
  • List of daybooks will be displayed. Select Debit Note TCS daybook from the list of options displayed.
  • Daybooks entry form will open. Enter details here such as Date, Account, Item, Amount, etc.
  • Click on SAVE button. TCS Debit Note Transaction will be saved.
